Do You Think It Will Rain?

It always does!

The next few posts are mostly pictures taken on a walk around my neighbourhood. The light was wonderful, nearing sunset, and as there was rain earlier, everybody's gardens, and the parks and creek have all perked up.

So, I went for a walk.

This really is a very nice neighbourhood. There is an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school within walking distance, and a public swimming pool, several parks and a creek. A fire station is close enough to get here before we are a pile of ashes; about two blocks away. Most of the houses are nice, and well-kept, even if they are 30 years or so old. Lots of trees everywhere. There's even a big field with cedars, and a few head of cattle.

It's a nice place to live.

  1. Always nice to have a fire station nearby.

  2. I love older neighborhoods with parks and mature trees. Nowadays when builders attack an area they strip it of all vegetation and plant those skinny nursery trees with the pink tags. Everyone's lawn is sodded and the houses, for the most part, are cookie cutter. Builders somehow forget sidewalks too!

  3. The siedwalks are a whole nother story, for which I should probably do a bit of research before I write it.
