Old? Mellow? Or Just Tired?

With every case of man-on-woman-or-child homicide, domestic or not, there is a coterie of people on the message boards, blogs and in the comments areas of news stories howling gleefully about how the perpetrator (alleged or not) deserves a long and lingering death...or a long prison sentence served in the company of "Bubba." I will admit that I have yowled with the best of them.

But it has got old. Since the case of Laci Peterson, we have been through so many cases of murder and disappearance. Hitting the highlights, there was Lori Hacking, Taylor Beihl, Natalee Holloway, Jennifer and Adrianna Wix, Lisa Stebic, Rachel Cooke, Tara Grant, Michelle Young, Madeleine McCann, Jessica Lunsford, Caylee Anthony, Haleigh Cummings, Carly Bruscia, Janet Abaroa, Jessie Davis, Kimberley Vaughn and her children, the Petit family, Ellen Robb, Riley Ann Sawyer, Stacy Peterson, Rachel and Lilly Entwistle, Susan Powell, the Coleman family...I know I'm forgetting a lot of other names.

In every single case, somebody has commented, "I can hardly wait until he's convicted and gets to meet Bubba!"

I don't care, any more. Meeting "Bubba" or suffering the same fate as their victims doesn't teach any of these narcissistic murderers anything. They can't relate. It just pisses them off and makes them feel hard done by. There is no conscience, no rehabilitation, no improvement.

So let's just keep them locked up and out of our hair for the rest of their miserable lives. They don't get chemo if they get cancer, they don't get lung transplants, they don't get fancy dental work. They don't get married. They don't join some email group so gullible women will write to them and keep their commissary funds topped off. They just live in a cell until they die. I don't even care if they get executed, any more. Just keep them the hell out of society and don't let them reproduce.

I'm tired of them.

  1. Well said, Ronni! Way too much consideration given to the "rights" of the POS murderers, rapists, whatever, which delays their punishment at our expense. I just read where a guy was finally given the needle for a killing 25 years ago!!!! Years go by with appeal after appeal, but the victim(s) are dead or broken those many years. That's justice? No way!

  2. I think there should be an appeal to see if any rules were violated, as per the automatic appeal that all DP convicts get. It should be speedy. After that, I say, forget it. In this day and age of DNA testing, the evidence is much more conclusive than it used to be.

I don't even care about the DP, any more. It's cheaper to keep them for LWOP than to hold them for 25 years on Death Row!

  4. I hear ya! I figure if they are proven guilty, WITHOUT any doubt...fry em...why should our taxes pay to keep them eating three meals a day and free health care, when there are others that don't do anything wrong that could use that help?!

I heard tonight he said he knew where Natalee's body is and will tell them..I hope so, then her family can put her to rest...finally. I hope they fry the little MF.

    And I agree no interviews.

AND I am still watching what Dr Petit is going through...I feel so bad for him, all the court bull ETC.. it's non stop..and a painful reminder constantly..how can he heal that way? have the dam trial and get it over with! they were caught RED HANDED for crying out loud! Definately no doubt they did it.
    sorry to rant...

  5. None of the charges are for the US. Except for extortion.

It's Aruba who has to charge him with Natalee. AGAIN.

I really wish like you Ronni that people would educate themselves on law. How it is different etc.

I also feel sorry for men that are named Bubba through no fault of their own.
