WRAL is reporting that Jason was denied bond in a hearing within the past few minutes http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/6618244/. So, though the DA appears to have not yet decided whether to go for the Death Penalty, he is leaving the door open for it.
Jason also requested and was appointed a Public Defender! No more Roger Smith Law firm...I guess that owing over $15M to his former mother-in-law precludes being able to afford the best of the best. Too bad, 'tis sad. The pig-dog killer who bludgeoned his pregnant wife to death after attempting to strangle her will have to take his chances with the same pool of lawyers available to all the poor of Raleigh.
How does it feel, Jason? How does it feel to be crowded into a prison designed for 480 criminals and stuffed to the gills with 780?
Get used to it.
