Gettysburg!

This clock is by the traffic circle on Baltimore Street in Gettysburg.

All we have done here so far is walk around town. Tomorrow we take a battlefield tour, and maybe a ghost tour as well, if we have enough energy left...

Thre is only one ghost tour I really would like to take--the one based on the "Ghosts of Gettysburg" TV show that they show on the History Channel occasionally.

  1. It is amazing, at least to me, how hushed the battlegrounds are. It was almost overwhelming to think of the blood shed that day-the battle-as we stood there. It's been a long time but it has stayed with me. I hope you are well.

  2. It's like a whisper. This is why history is so important.

  3. That's exactly how I felt when I was here five years ago.

  4. I just caught up with you on your trip! Your pictures are beautiful and even though I love the beach I long for the mountains sometimes. I love spending time in Asheville, Brevard, Black Mountain and all those beautiful places there is never enough time to do thoroughly. There is a certain peace that you don't find in a lot of places. The only other place that draws me that way is Taos, NM. That's where I want to be spread!....You heard it here!
