I had donated whatever could be used of Jim's body to the Tissue Center of Central Texas.
Today, I got a card. It says,
Dear Donor Family,
When your life changes due to someone else's precious gift, there are no words to express your gratitude. Please know I will always cherish the gift and remember your loved one.
Ryan
Ryan, I don't know who you are, or what you have that used to be Jim's, but I am so glad that a living person can use what he chose to throw away.
You will always be in my thoughts.
I hope that made your day a little better :)
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know, when I stop crying.
ReplyDeleteHow awe inspiring. And human. Your loss became a miracle for someone else. Doesn't make your loss hurt any less, but enjoy your well deserved lemonade as best you can.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Marsha. Maybe a night's sleep to put it in perspective.
ReplyDeleteWow JT i know it's hard hon but Jim is living on threw this person what a great gift you gave him. Thinking about you today sweetie hang in there..............breeze
ReplyDeleteThanks, Breeze...
ReplyDeleteWhile I am very happy that something of Jim's helped someone else, the idea still stirs up some uneasy feelings.
Whether it was you or Jim who made this decision, it was a great one. At such an extremely difficult time, too.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter will definitely donate any part of me that is useful and that is fine with me. Only once I die, though.
I don't want any Hospital letting me die because they want my organs. Sorry, hope I'm not being insensitive. I don't mean to be.
Your tears should be tears of pride, Ronni. That person must be so thankful that there are people like you and Jim in the world.
Very touching.
wow I have no words to express how reading that made me feel..let alone how it made YOU feel..(((((((((HUGS)))))))
