There are several old uniforms at the museum, but none of them were on display when we were there. So, I took pictures of the pictures. This one is the only existing example of a Republic of Texas officer's uniform. So, we're talking 1830s, here. After Napoleon, after the Empire and after the Regency. Queen Victoria was crowned the following year.
Just goes to show you how long it took change to get from Europe to America.
