There's a pile of brush on a trailer at the side of my house. This puts me in violation of code on two counts: the usual, for the brush, and a new code for having something (the trailer) parked on the grass.
Both the vehicles in the driveway are in violation, also, because their tags have expired.
If somebody knows how to pull a little trailer, and will haul off this brush, they could keep the trailer. It's a nice sturdy little trailer that Jim built for hauling plywood sheets and such.
I have to wait for an Executor to be appointed by the Court in order to get rid of the vehicles. I'm supposed to go to court in December because the tags are expired on the motor home, and so it, and the F85 are "derelict vehicles," and, as such, a "public nuisance." Never mind that they are on my property.
You'd think they could cut me a little slack.
That is just an awful situation to be in, Ronni. Maybe, Monica can get one of her lawyer friends to give you some advice.
ReplyDeleteThere has to be an exception in your circumstances, surely?!
I'm going to have to call the City and beg for some time to clean this up.
ReplyDeleteDeyammm Call/pick up. Don is in Georgetown no car but if he can help he has the cell. When it rains it floods. Betty
ReplyDeleteHi Ronni, I have a friend who has a truck and he says he may be able to help with the brush today. Call me if possible at home first or on my cell. You can find us in the phone book or check my email to you. I don't have your phone number or even your address. Thanks, tracie
ReplyDeleteRonni, you can also post in you local Craigslist in the both the Barter and Fee sections.
ReplyDeleteI've had a lot of luck with my local craigslist in both buying and selling.
Also, if you need to chat with and attorney for "free" advice, I can still contact my brother for you. He works in the Dallas area, but he may be able to steer you in the right direction.
All you have to do is say the words and I'll pick up the phone.
You are surrounded by caring people, Ronni.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a good weekend. I'll check in on Monday.
Dang! I live in a gated community with many rules and regulations so I know what to expect, but your city seems to have the same strictness as my HOA!
ReplyDeleteEven your own property is regulated by others. Recently, an 80-year old vet had to fight to fly his American flag on a pole instead of a bracket attached to his house. They finally made an exception, but only after a lot of flack.
How about ralling the Pickup Truck boys, of which and whom are prolific in Texas. Give em a case of beer and tell them to get rid of the detritus which must be removed. We have that same rule about clearing brush. We are at such risk here and take it very seriously. Some body must have the weed wacker and ability to remove it.
ReplyDeleteDid Jim have any cohorts or friends who would gladly kick in to save your butt? Brendans's friends? Father of Brendan? Please do not avoid asking the people who can help you to help you. What is the worst thing that can happen? Rejection indicates sorry souls on their sides. Courage my friend. I feel you are on the brink of a breakthrough. For this to happen, Ronni, please ground yourself and open the chakras. Purge out all negative energy lingering from the suicide and any other past negativity. I would ask you to spend some small solitary time identifying that. It has been happening I know with all of your instrospection. Let us turn that around to bring some positive energy back in to your life and also that of Brendon. I think My youngest daughter could relate to him. She is thirty a practicing certified massage-Reiki therapist, has 2 rottweillers aged 12 and 9. Please respond about his willingness to Reiki from moi Bibbs or both of us. For both of you I have been observing the necessity of simple removal of negative energy, we send it out into the universe to be purified and returned to those heart and soul spaced that need to be refilled. A very healing activity for both of you at this distance from the event. I have done a bit toight. Just ax if you would like to recieve from both Bibba and her mother. This is what I can offer you.
NEEDED, FLAT BED OR PICKUP TO COME TO The Aid of a recent widow. Haul away what she asks you to do and talk to my husband later @ 805-461-3509. We will pay the going rate to haul. Give me your best number.
ReplyDeleteOn my way out the door to work this morning, I saw Michael out there moving the trailer and the brush.
ReplyDeleteThank you SO MUCH, Michael! I can hardly wait to see it in daylight!
Ronni, I'm so glad you've found a solution. I'm all too familiar with the way code enforcement works. Mom had many visits from them during her lifetime.
