Petticoat Day

I spent today working on petticoats. Two with hoops and one without. One of the hooped ones had to be rearranged into a pannier--flattened front and back, so that just the sides extend out. One needed to be shortened, so I took out the bottom hoop and hemmed it up two inches. The other needed about 10" of extra material added in at the top to make it longer.

Are we having fun yet?

  1. Morning!

I have just noticed the picture. Please don't tell me you've had it up since you began blogging! That would be too embarrassing. It's a good picture of you. Wish I had a tan on my skin...one of the things I miss about living in Africa, I always looked healthy, even if I wasn't.

You won't believe this, but, I have done my fair share of sewing. Of course, I was working part time, then. Was dating a musician and used to make him all sorts of trews (tartan mostly) and reversible waistcoats. If it taught me anything, it taught me not to have a carpet in the sewing room. LHAT

I was so happy at that time in my life and didn't appreciate how lucky I was. Oh well! Even my daughter was happy then. He taught her to water-ski...she was 10 years old and a natural, because as a child I was so timid.

Okay, sorry, I'm waffling. I hope you have a good day.

  2. I changed pictures when Jim died. The other one looked too...flippant, I guess.

  3. I like all the pictures of you, Ronni. You're great!

I think the costume shop is getting a pretty sweet deal with your talents. I think a raise and full time hours might be in order.

  4. I'm pretty sure that if Ramona could afford to, she would.
