Evangelical Home Schooling

This is one of the things that really bothers me about home schooling.

This type of home schooler is becoming the majority. More people home school for religious reasons than any other.

These kids grow up with their faith unchallenged, but with education sadly lacking. Those Fundie parents that I've met who are home schooling are placing the major educational emphasis on religion. All other world religions are "ignorant," "ungodly," or "heathenish." Science...forget evolution. God put fossils here to give us something to test our faith with. Right. Tolerance? Forget tolerance. Homosexuality is an abomination in the Old Testament, so it still is, to these folks.

The quality of education is secondary in importance to its insularity.
