The owner of Observations of a Misfit is a prolific and enthusiastic blogger. If she doesn't revive that blog, I'm sure she will have a new one. Presently, she is occupied with the Cameron Brown (Re)Trial, but I don't see her running out of things to say when that's over.
She is also very encouraging to her friends in their blogging efforts. In addition to this blog, the following are all written by Misfits:
The Lisa Life
Hooterville Holler
Life's a Funny Thing
Snippets of Life
One if by Land, Two if by Sea
Slicing With Occam's Razor
Cabin in the Woods
Sixteen Sisters
I was very shy about sharing the fact that I had started my own blog, because I wasn't sure how good it was. I know for a fact that some people out there read it as a cure for insomnia, but that's OK, too.
I started out with nothing, and now have had over 13,000 visitors in just over a year. That's an average of over a thousand visits a month. Not everyone is falling asleep.
I have always written. I have thrown away notebooks full of laborious, hand-written prose. The problem was that I could never write as fast as I was thinking. Getting a typewriter was an improvement. Filling up a ton of Word documents was even better, but then came The Internet.
Ah, The Internet! Instant feedback! This is what I've always wanted!
Thanks, Al Gore!
Unfortunately with the internet you also get comments by less-than-human trolls too.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I love the place!
ReplyDeleteSomeone must have overturned a rock, exposing the little woebies (my word) beneath!
With your imagination, you should write short stories, Ronni!
ReplyDeleteSend them to a few local magazines and make yourself a bit of Moola!

Not much info about the "person" who left the disgusting comment.
Eastern Time Zone, too. Forgot that part.
ReplyDeleteHey, being a cure for insomnia is nothing to be ashamed of. However, I think you're way more than that. I need to take some lessons from you. I tend to ramble while you get right to the point. I can hardly keep up with your fast pace and frequent updates but always enjoy the read. I love the internet, too and would be lost without it. It's a gateway to mounds of information available 24/7. And they leave the lights on!
ReplyDeleteAin't it delish?
