One of our innovations at the theater is to extend the season with readers' theater performances of plays. Mine is slated for Thanksgiving weekend, and I had wanted to do "The Birdcage." However, it seems that there is no English language play! I am going to have to get it in the original French--"La Cage Aux Folles," and have it translated.
Of course, this is the first one of these readings; we are going to do four throughout the season, so mine needs to be good.
One of the girls at TCloud is studying French at UT, so maybe I can hire her to do it.
I have actors lined up. I need a script.
Amazon has "The Birdcage" the shooting script. That must be the movie though. Right?
ReplyDeleteIt would work. I'll check it out. Thanks, CG!
ReplyDeleteThis one is going to be a hit, Ronni!
ReplyDeleteI loved the Movie. Gene Hackman dressed as a buxom blonde, shows a man who can laugh at himself - I was so surprised. For me, he made the movie.
Good luck with this one. Are you sending tickets to Mr Dell?
Good morning
