Home, Sweet Home!
It's not the prettiest house in Round Rock, but it looks beautiful to me. Of all the places we looked at, it is by far the cheapest. For instance, I called about one 3-2-2 house, over off Great Oaks that was very nice, but the back yard was not fenced, it was $1500/month and the didn't allow smokers. Not even outside! Right.
(No, I haven't taken up the vile habit again, but Chandra has, and many of our friends smoke.)
This house is located a couple of blocks north of the old Trinity Lutheran Home (now Trinity Care Center). It's far enough from the creek that it would have to be a flood of biblical proportions to cause us any trouble, and it's a quiet street. It has enough mod cons to make it livable, and the beauty part of renting is that, if something breaks, we can call the landlord to get it fixed.
Hans doesn't look bad sitting there in the car port, does he?
Still don't have the lease...but that should be happening tomorrow. The nice lady said that, as soon as she received our proof-of-income statements, she would draw it up.
Now, all we have to do is get there.
I'm off work until Tuesday, so we should have it under control by then.
