Wow! It Was Awesome!

Opening night rocked the rafters! Everything clicked, from the Tarpaulin to the Reprise. The audience was right with us. Kudos to a very talented cast! I still don't know what I did to be included in such an ensemble, but I am so grateful for the opportunity! I think I cried all over Heather (the music director) after the show...I'm still in shock that the songs actually came out of my mouth sounding the same as they did in my head! You have to understand, Dearly Beloved, that such a thing has happened so rarely, even in private, that I was terrified.

There were line bobbles, and song bobbles from most of us, but, over all, the show was brilliant.

At some point, I shall have to have a serious talk with my long-deceased mother...stay tuned for that. The way our parents can continue to influence us from beyond the grave never ceases to astound me!

  1. Congratulations! I knew you would do well.

And yes, despite my Moms aliveness, her comments still sting.

YEARS of you are too skinny, you are too skinny.. Led to you are fat to this day. There MUST have been an interim where I looked JUST RIGHT right? I never heard that from her.

  2. Too skinny. Stand up straight or you'll develop curvature of the spine. Don't hunch over your book like that--it's no wonder you've got round shoulders. For goodness sake, either shut up or get on the key. You got 97%...why isn't it 100? Put that book down and do something useful!

  3. Congrats!

I'm sorry your mom did that.
I am so lucky to have the mother I have, she has never done that to me.
Now talk to me about my father....

  4. My mom was the stuff of pioneers. I am not. That bothered her immensely.
