Sound and Memory

Isn't it funny that the sound of water trickling from the roof in bright sunshine is the sound of Spring?

In the north, where it snows and the snow stays until Spring, that trickling sound is the harbinger of hope: the thaw.

It may still be cold, but it's not freezing, and the ever-present clouds have gone. The sun is warm, if you can find a sheltered nook.

Here, this event is rare and meaningless...but it makes me feel good anyway!

  1. Never meaningless. Sometimes it's the little things that matter the most.

  2. We have that lovely melting sound right now. Of course we are about to be hit with an actual HURRICANE of snow tonight through Friday, the same storm hitting us twice.

  3. Nadine, sometimes I have to be reminded of that!

    Stay safe, Melissa...
