  1. Ronni,

I absolutley adore the costuming of your cast.

The attention to detail is amazing. I love the chain that adorns the suit of Constable Thompkins... And I admire every single detail of Nikki Bora's outfit as Mildred Bagshot...Inspector Pratt seems very proud of himself in his pin striped suit...

    Good work!

  2. Thank you so much, Nancy! I have to give credit where it's due, though. Dave Dunlap came up with his costume on his own, and is responsible for all the details. All I supplied were shoes and a tie!

I work in a very small 50-seat theater, and the audience is practically in our laps. I try to do the best I can to suggest the period of the play...enough so that the audience won't notice that I'm the only one with actual period stockings...

I like being an assistant story-teller.

  3. The play is set in 1936, and it has been two years since Mildred and Dorothy have been to Paris. So that puts their clothes at 1934, at the very latest. Therefore, they need to be a bit out of style, compared with Elizabeth and Margaret, but they were expensive in the first place. Sometimes I over-think these things, but I go by the sort of things I notice when I'm in the audience.

  4. As far as Frank goes, His character is the stupidest police inspector ever written, and I told him to look stupid when I took the picture.
