Tony Alamo--Real Pervert, Fake Preacher

Evangelist Tony Alamo Found Guilty of Taking Young Girls From State to State for Sex
(FOX Article)

Parents' role in Alamo case is a tricky question (AP Article)

Yet another so-called preacher busted for having sex with children. This guy is a real piece of work. Dearly Beloved, on his Alamo Ministries site, the pervert actually tries to justify his perversion by scripture. That's right, folks...this "man of God" uses Webster's Dictionary and the Bible to justify multiple marriages with little girls.
"The legal age of marriage is puberty. Webster’s Dictionary states childhood is the “state or time of being a child; state or time from birth or infancy to puberty or maturity.” Webster’s definition of puberty is “the age when one becomes capable to bear children, which is marked by maturing of the reproductive organs, with the onset of menstruation in the female; the period at which sexual maturity is reached.” The Bible says this as well."

When Jesus said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me," I don't think this is what he had in mind. The minister at the church I went to as a kid used to preach about another statement by Jesus; "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's." He interpreted that to mean that the laws of the land must be obeyed. Apparently, the laws of the land mean nothing to Tony Alamo, AKA Bernie Lazar Hoffman.

Bernie has made quite a bit from his "Ministry," conning the faithful out of their dollars and their daughters in exchange for his strange conspiracy theories about Catholics and One World Government.

Apparently, that was he, back in the late 60s, turning hippies into "Jesus Freaks" all over the coastal cities of California. My, my, my. I thought he was weird back then, but, Baby, look at him now! This guy is a prime example of somebody who has come to believe his own bullshit, and can convince others of the same crap.

How can any parents let a preacher convince them that taking their ten-year-old daughter to wife is a good thing? It's one thing for adults to make the decision to join a cult, but to give up their daughters to the leader's bed...that is just as sick and disgusting as the leader who wants to sleep with little girls.

Bernie has not yet been sentenced, but I hope they lock him up for a long time.
"I'm just another one of the prophets that went to jail for the Gospel," Alamo called to reporters afterward as he was escorted to a waiting U.S. marshal's vehicle.
No, Bernie, you are going to jail for taking little girls across state lines for sex. To twist the Gospel into justification for that should carry an additional sentence. Preying on the faithful to pander their daughters to you will net you extra time in Hell. You are a despicable, lying, perverted scrap of dog shit, and I hope your fellow prisoners hasten you along to your Judgment Day, because I'm thinking that Jesus will hand that sword back to St Peter and tell him to whale the tar out of you with it, all the way down to the hot place.

How dare you hurt children in the name of Jesus?! You are not even a man, let alone a Christian!

Calling you a pig would be an insult to pigs!

  1. This makes me so angry, I swear my eyes are crossing. He -hurt- children and enjoyed it, then had the gall to say it was in the name of God? Grrrrr. I have so much to say about the power "clergy" have over their followers, and about organized religion in general, but I can't even get the words to come together. Just...GRRRR!

  2. There are other stories about his cult beating the crap out of little boys, all in the name of the Lord, of course. I was afraid that if I started on that one, too, I'd be writing all night...

  3. Once I read that men convicted of child molestation were nicknamed "Short Eyes" in prison, and may be raped at the first chance. God forgive me for saying this, but I hope Tony "Short Eyes" Alamo gets it back in spades, the pain and horror that he caused those children that they will live with the rest of their lives. He quotes the Bible, how about this one..."An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth".
I don't understand why rapists are let off so easy in the first place. I am a dedicated Democrat, but unlike many of my liberal friends and the rest of my immediate family, I think it should be treated like murder, because it can and frequently does destroy a person's life, no matter long they may live afterward or how well they look like they have recovered.

  4. Rapists are let off lightly because the majority of judges and lawmakers are still men, and they don't understand. They literally don't understand what the fuss is all about. The only way they 'get it" at all is if you can get them to visualize that scene in "Deliverance" happening to them. Ask most men, "How would you feel if somebody forced you to have sex?" and they will say something like, "You can't force the willing!"

We need more women in a position to increase the penalty under the law, and more in a position to enforce the penalties we already have.

Wile most men will think that having sex with small children is a Bad Thing, there are a lot that think, "if they're big enough, they're old enough," so, when puberty hits, they want to lower the penalties. After all, these girls ask for it, don't you know...

  5. Once I heard a comedian (man) tell a joke..."Every woman says their worst nightmare is getting raped by a strange man. Are you kidding? Every man dreams of a being attacked by a strange woman and forced to have sex!"
Yeah, great joke for idiots. And goes along with your theory that it's men that are mostly judges and it's men that are mostly the legislators that write the laws. Frankly, I was pleased that Obama came out and said that he thought that in some cases of rape (especially of children) the extraordinary punishment of death might be used. He was dragged through the mud for that by many liberals, but I think he feels that way because he has a couple of young daughters and THIS Preisdent has true compassion and empathy.

  6. Yes. It's difficult for some men to understand that the sex is only part of the problem; being forced against one's will is so very damaging, as well.
