Statue

Statue on the Texas Capitol grounds. I took this picture, and thought it was OK. I got to looking at it at home, and thought of a different angle.

So, I went back and took this one.

I'll tell you what...If I found myself with a prickly pear cactus that close to a sensitive portion of my anatomy, I'd probably look like that, too!

The name of the artist is Constance Whitney Warren.

  2. I don't think so. His attention is on something on the ground, not on the horse. I think he's chasing a calf, and has pulled the horse around really fast, and that's why the horse is leaping. The cactus is just a mechanical thing, really, for support of the weight.
