Making a Difference

Jan Marra reminds me of Jim. A brilliant talent, for whom fame and fortune could never be enough. Both of them recognized that, and found niches where they could use their talents to make a difference in people's lives. Jim preferred giving middle school children that boost they need in the fight to learn who they are. Jan prefers putting smiles on the faces of elders. Here is her site: Jan Marra Sings. If you click on the sidebar where it says "Songs for Seniors," you will find this:
Whether leading a chorus of Button Up Your Overcoat, trilling a perfect Irish tenor’s rendition of My Wild Irish Rose, swinging with Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen, or bringing laughter with the musical tale of the Scotsman’s blue ribbon, her musicianship and charm have made her a perennial favorite in hundreds of senior venues in the St. Louis area.
Isn't this wonderful? This woman is making a difference every time she gets on stage.
