Bird on a Wire

I love to watch birds going about their business. It doesn't really matter what kind of bird. I saw this one while out walking with a friend one morning on our neighbourhood green belt. I guess it was either building or decorating a nest.

There are a lot of interesting birds around here, but we usually don't notice anything but grackles and buzzards.

Speaking of which, I saw a couple of the latter doing some sort of dance alongside the road last weekend. If there had been anywhere to pull off, I would have got some pictures. It was awesome! The big, ungainly things looked almost graceful!

  1. ugh, I have a horrible disdain for birds. They have evil faces. And they poop. While flying, over my car, with the sunroof open.

Pidgeons are rats with wings and they beg, ditto for seagulls.

Plus there is a nightengale that wakes me up every morning at 4am for the past 2 weeks. I WOULD kill it if I could find it. It finally shuts up when its time to wake up.

  2. Melissa, at 4 AM, I'd rather hear a nightingale than the train whistle or fire sirens, which are what wake me, here.
