Fall Colour

In the picture below, you can see how low Brushy Creek is! I don't recall ever seeing a sandbar in the middle of it before, let alone one that has been there long enough to grow weeds!


Still, the trees do look pretty, and I wish I could do them justice. The orange stands out like a blaze of fire against the grey skies and stark black branches.

I'm glad I got out there when I did, as a norther hit yesterday and blew a lot of this down.

I need to rake my front hall--with five fluffy cats going in and out the front door, they bring in a lot of leaves, and never seem to take them back out.

    It is like a skating rink outside, and has been for two days. Today is worse than yesterday and there hasn't been a gritter in sight. Very frustrating.

    I nearly crowned myself on the pavement a couple of times this morning, so I've told my daughter and grandson to stay in bed. Don't want anyone getting hurt.
