  1. Looking at the weather conditions, you seem to be out of the way of Gustav, thankfully.

When I hear it was shifting slightly, I got a bit worried for you.

I'll try to get back later....

BTW. I'm really upset that little biatch Casey hasn't gone back to the clink.

  2. She has! They arrested her Saturday night on theft charges, and THEN the original bond was rescinded.

  3. Oh what wonderful news! I'm way behind, I see.

  4. Oh my, those levees are not high enough. I hope they hold, because they seem to be holding back a lot of water, but not all.

  5. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It's not even a blip on our radar. We should get some wind over the next couple of days, but that will be about it.

They are not even predicting rain, darn it.

  6. I am an absolute bugaphobic! Even pics of them give me the willies. Surprisingly, I had my own l'il night-crawler business as a youngster - made lots of pocket money from the fishermen. Now, you couldn't pay me enough to touch a worm.

During June, I will not leave the house in the evening unless it's a matter of life or death. Even seeing all the June bug bodies the next morning freaks me out - especially if I should happen to step on one -- CRRACCKK! UGH!

For some unknown reason, we had no June bugs this year. I am perplexed by that -- happy but perplexed!

    They all came here instead.

  8. I hope that each & every one of those despicable critters were so totally smitten with your southern hospitality that they have decided that June in Texas is far preferable to the North Atlantic.

    I won't miss them too much - honest I won't!

Should you be similiarly repulsed by them, give them an air/road map to the Bush ranch. What's another creepy critter or two?

  10. Today, a high of 94° F is predicted, with partly cloudy and windy conditions prevailing. Tomorrow, much of the same, but "mostly cloudy" and only 89°.

That's going to be about it for Gustav, around here.
