Medina River

The road criss-crossed this river several times. I pulled over at this park and got some pictures. There was a herd of young people there; girls in bikinis and boys in baggy shorts and cowboy boots. Southern rock pouring out of pickup truck CD players, and beer flowing freely.

Seemed an odd contrast to this peaceful scene.

  1. It's a beautiful place - best enjoyed, I'm sure, with just the sounds of nature.

But kids everywhere do seem to love to make a racket.

  2. If they can hear themselves think, they are falling down on the job.

  3. Yes, they can't hear anything unless it is cranked all the way up. What is that?

  6. Vanessa said the same thing. I have to say that it was not a pretty picture, but this is, as you say, Texas, where "formal" means starching your jeans.
