Spring Has Re-Sprung
OK, I think this time it's for real.
I am going to be AWOL for a couple of days, with lots of stories when I return. I am taking Aidan to NASA in Houston, and the Battleship Texas and the San Jacinto Monument. We are leaving bright and early in the morning.
This grew out of our trip to the Alamo a couple of months ago. He asked one of the guides there if Texas still belonged to Mexico after the battle. The guide explained that the battle of San Jacinto was the one that gained Texas its independence, so the little guy asked if we could go there. So, it's Spring Break, and we are off.
Apparently, it's not Spring Break in Houston, but we will meet up with Carri in the evening.
We will be back on Wednesday for sure, and, if Aidan burns out, we may come home Tuesday night.
We are flexible that way.
Minni Miata is filled up with gas, washed, waxed, and ready to go.
I have my phone charger and extra batteries for the Canon, so we are loaded for bear.
Y'all be good while I'm gone, 'K?

Aren't we always ;) I hope to call you with "news."
ReplyDeleteTHAT would be berry berry nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Spring!
Holy SPRING! How did that happen in just days?
ReplyDeleteThis is Texas.
ReplyDeleteIt could still freeze one more time, but I don't think it's going to.
I may be driving to Houston in thunderstorms tomorrow, though.
Now I know where the word SPRING comes from.
ReplyDeleteI have only lived in NJ and NV, neither of which SPRING. Well Nevada does in a way, but you have to blink before the blooms burn and are gone, there are no real leaf trees.
NJ, kinda just grows, and you are irritated by the pollen before the trees even fully bloom. We wont see those blooms, never mind the bright green for more than a month at least.
3 DAYS?
Have a wonderful time, Ronni. I am looking forward to the pics, lots of pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time. My children loved visiting Houston and San Antonio when we were there last month. We're going back on the 28th for some more warmth and to visit my sick cousin.
ReplyDeleteTravel safely, we'll be here when you get back.
Hope you and Aidan have a wonderful time, Ronni. My grandson would be so jealous if I told him about your trip.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Ronni
ReplyDeleteRonni, have a great time and bring back lots of pictures!
