Bad News From Jasmine...

Hello Everyone! We have some bad news to share with everyone. As you all know, we went to MD Anderson to have Jasmine's testing redone. She had a PET Scan, and Chest CT. They found a tumor in her left lung. She has to start chemotherapy in January. Two days after her 13th birthday. January 8th; She will recieve two rounds of chemo, and then she has to have surgery to remove the tumor. She will recieve chemo for 5 days straight and then do counts and the recovery shot. (nuelasta) Then take a short break to recover her counts and her strength and then do another 5 days of chemo. They told us that she is considered a high risk because of the matastasise's she had. The more you have the higher risk you run of getting cancer again. She had the two matastasie's the first time. Now, the one in the lung. She is doing okay...she is a little sad and of course a (bit) disappointed. We are very sorry that we had to tell everyone this; we were praying for better news. We wanted to let you know, because we care about all of you so much. Please, take care and God Bless! Merry Christmas! We will pray for all of you. Take care. We are doing good and we are going to ENJOY our holidays and get ready for the New year. 2008! Love, The Subia Family Jasmine Lynn Subia #16 forever and ever! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! REMEMBER WE LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!

This is copied and pasted from her Mother's Caring Bridge journal. Prayers are requested from this curmudgeonly crone for Jasmine, who has already suffered more than any child shoul.
