Recommendations

Well, I actually slept like a log last night. It rained, and even that didn't wake me.

I must have got all worn out at Ikea and Sam's Club. If so, I highly recommend shopping as a cure for insomnia. Even if practical stuff is all that gets bought. I also recommend this stuff they sell at Sam's, called "Odo-Ban." My house smells much fresher than it did before spraying that around, and scrubbing the hall floor with it.

We looked at laminated floors at Ikea when we were there, but theirs are not going to work for me. The flooring itself is cheap, but the Styrofoam to put under it costs more than the floor does, and, as the stuff the flooring is made of is very thin plastic over press board, any little spot of water is going to cause the stuff to expand and get ruined. So, we're not recommending that; at least, not for any place a floor is likely to get wet.

I can heartily recommend the cafeteria at Ikea, though.

  1. If it is anything like the cafe at the Glasgow Ikea, I totally agree.

The food even looks so appetising (nothing like the glasgow fare). My eyes nearly popped out my head when I saw the meals. I really wasn't expecting that.

  2. I had poached salmon with roasted veggies, and there were parsnips and rutabaga in the mix. Delish! I also had a Greek salad, which could have been a meal by itself.

  3. Ronni, go to Lumber Liquidators for your laminate flooring. They are the ones that Extreme Home Makeover uses and have great prices! They have one in Austin.

So glad you got a good sleep last night.

  4. Now, that's a scathingly brilliant idea! Thanks, CG, I'll look into it. The stuff is so expensive, but I need something easy to care for.
