Weather

We have been getting some wild storms in the past couple of days. Here are a couple of pics; one, of the water actually rushing over the Round Rock. It's hard to see, as I had to stay on the edge--the water was rushing too fast for me to wade out onto the bridge, but, where there looks to be a hole in the water--that's where it's going over the rock. The nice policeman made me go away after I took that picture.

The other is the approaching storm. I had already driven through it, and had to pull off the road for about half an hour, as it was too deep for Minni Miata. I sat in the parking lot of the PAC at McNeil High School, and I wasn't the only one sitting there. I got home to find dry streets. I had out-run it. Part of the problem is that the storms have been very slow-moving, and so have dumped several inches per hour on us over the past couple of days. There is a lot of water!

  1. Wow, that's a spooky looking storm. We're having a baby storm right now. Mostly rain, a little rumble and flash every now and then.

  2. We're due for them all week, according to the weather reports. The ground is saturated. We are going to have floods.

  3. Those are really dramatic pictures. That, lets you know just who is boss. Nature!

We have an extimate of £3 billion, at the moment. And, counting. I'm hoping yours is just a storm in a teacup.

    Hi, to Vanessa and Ethan.
