A Home for Blake

Home Donated to the family of Jessie Davis.

Since Porter began taking care of her two-year-old grandson in June, she has had six people crammed inside her two-bedroom apartment.

Porter had planned to go house-hunting next week.

"I know my daughter is looking down and would be so grateful to each and every person," Porter said. "This is a dream my daughter had."

The home donation was only part of the fund-raising effort for Blake Davis' college fund.

This is good news! Jessie was in a duplex, trying to build a life for her child that included having a home and a yard to play in. Kudos to Countrywide Home Loans, the company that made this generous donation.

  2. What a lovley man. I think not be on top of each other, will make things a little more bearable for them, while they try to deal with their loss, and grief.

  3. Good morning, Ronni.

There is a story on CNN about a Doctor's family being held hostage. One family member was taken to the Bank to withdraw a large sum of money.

The wife and two daughters were murdered and the husband was left badly beaten. Wonder why they didn't kill him, too?

Or, why kill the wife and daughters? Odd, to say the least.

  4. I hope that story is up on CNN later! I've slept in today, so no time to look for it now. It does sound a bit hinkey, Mge, from what you've said...

  5. There definitely was a robbery, Ronni. A Bank member raised the alarm about the large withdrawal. The cops were off the mark and caught they men.

I still wonder if it was a set-up.
