On the phone yesterday:
"Hello...Do you carry animal costumes?"
"Yes, ma'am; we have lions and tigers and bears, oh, my; and almost any other animal you can think of."
"Do you have costumes FOR animals?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"I want to dress my dog as a cat for Halloween."
(put customer on hold and crack up for a second)
"No, ma'am, we don't carry those. If I were you, I'd try Petco."
As if the dog knows it's Halloween! LOL
ReplyDeletethis reminds me - you never followed up on the Anything Goes post - how did the costumes look onstage? what about the guy who thought his pants were too big? how was the production?
ReplyDeleteI will be seeing "Anything Goes" on the 15th of October. It's its closing performance, but it's the only show I can get to, given the performance schedule for "Arsenic."
ReplyDeleteAh yes, good luck on closing for Arsenic. Hope that turned out to be a good experience for you.
ReplyDelete"Arsenic" is a show I have wanted to do since forever--just had to wait until I was old enough.
ReplyDeleteShort of the theater burning down over my head, I was sure to have a good time.
I think I want to dress Bennie as a bunny.
ReplyDeleteyeah yeah that's the ticket!
OMG that's hysterical, Ronni!
People should just not dress their pets, period.
Darragh sent me some really cute pictures of dogs in costumes. The poor things all seem to be saying, "Help! Get me out of this!"
ReplyDeleteI worry that their little bodies will over-heat. Playing dress-up with you dog is just selfish!
ReplyDeletePick on someone who can tell you how they feel about it...!
Our little Mary Jane used to love to wear those little felt antlers for Christmas. They lit up and played music. Now our other dog Brandy would have NOTHING to do with it, and I never pressed her.
ReplyDeleteTo each her own!
