Thanks to all and sundry who have left comments on my "Hey Jasmine" entry. Above all, I don't want to seem ungracious or unappreciative. However, I feel a tad bit awkward and self-conscious about all these compliments.This is not about me, or how nice I am, or whatever. This is about Jasmine.This is about a spirited child who is enduring what no child should have to, and doing it with grace and courage. ReplyDeleteWhat I remember being the best gifts from people, were the small things that showed they cared.
A meal showing up at my door on a night I would be too weak to cook. A funny video, etc.
These small things become huge in the mind of the ill person.
No, it's not about you, but your gesture will live long in Jasmine's mind and perhaps give her a smile on those days that smiling will be hard to do.
You are a true blue person Vero. I've always thought so. Even more now.
