Guess What?!
Jasmine got her head shaved on Saturday!
I got mine shaved today.
It feels really weird! And I have this huge scar on the top of my head from the time a dog bit me when I was about her age.
Are we having fun yet?
Edited to add: My head is cold!
OMG, Vero! What a wonderful gesture to join Jasmine.
ReplyDeleteYou are one in a million and I know Jasmine will come through this with all of the prayers and support of people like you.
Takes a very special person and you are that.
You look fierce, Ronni!
ReplyDeleteWhat a Trooper!
ReplyDeleteI am proud to know you!
It's the very, absolute least I could do.
ReplyDeleteFierce, Lisa? I love you!
Remember the "three f's,"
Fierce
Flawless
Fabulous
You, know, I actually feel sort of fierce!
Oh Vero, I just came by tonight and haven't really read everything yet. My heart goes out to you all. What a wonderful gesture. You floored me with you got your hair cut so short for me months ago. I actually have 1/2 " of peach fuzz right now. Lots more grey than I had before but I don't care about that.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers go out. Be strong. If you want the name of the two med.s I took during chemo, just let me know. I did not suffer one day with nausea. Maybe it could help Jasmine.
I'm going to go read up on Jasmine and see if I can get the whole story.
Ponder, it is so difficult when it's a child! It's bad enough for you, and for other adults, but it's even less fair for a child to have to suffer what you did!
ReplyDeleteVero, I just read Jasmine's story and my heart breaks for her.
ReplyDeletePlease know that they have done wonders in the medical world (as I found out).
I hope and pray that Jasmine's results are 100% better than mine were and you know I told you, mine have been fantastic.
Never give up hope. I won't for Jasmine.
Whoops, I'm out of practice. The Anonymous was me Vero.
ReplyDeleteHave I told you how much I love you? I do.
ReplyDeleteYou are all much too kind.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little thing.
It's only hair. It will grow.
Wow! You look really "cool", Ronni.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, It is not a total surprise to me that you would support Jasmine to this level.
You are a great human being, as I have said before. Selfless! Just incredible!
Blessings to sweet Jasmine and strength to her dear mother.
It's only hair. It will grow.
ReplyDeleteSplendid!
ReplyDeleteCan I get you a Harley and send a girlfriend over for you? ;-)
Congratulations. Thank God for wigs in the theatre -- and Thank God for people like you who support li'l chicks like Jasmine!
Love and Light Ronn...
:-D
Ronni,
ReplyDeleteIf any one ever had any doubts what a
FIERCE
FABULOUS
FLAWLESS
person you are, this act should remove them!
You define compassion, empathy, and what a true friend really is.
This is not about me. This is about Jasmine. All I did was make a rash promise to a sick child and follow through.
ReplyDeleteIt's only hair.
Vero, I am truly sorry to hear about your sick little friend Jasmine. What a touching and thoughtful gesture you made, even if it is "only hair".
ReplyDeleteYou have a great sense of humor and I love that you can laugh at yourself, "scourge of the Internet". God bless you and lil Jasmine. I'll keep her in my prayers.
Very cool, Vero. I'm impressed. Good luck to your little friend.
ReplyDeleteIf any of you knit or crochet, if you google "chemo caps," you'll find patterns for hats. And places to donate them to help.
ReplyDeleteIf, like me, your hair is not long enough to donate to Locks of Love, it's a little something that helps.
Hey Ronni,
ReplyDeleteIt's Heather, Jasmine's mom. I love ya! Jasmine and I really enjoyed seeing what you did for her. That made her smile! What a wonderful person you are! We hope to see you soon.
Love, Jasmine and Heather
Hi, Heather!
ReplyDeleteBring her to the play! I have the director's permission to whip my wig off at curtain call. That should be good for a chuckle or two!
I look forward to seeing y'all soon!
