Doleful and Depressing Day

First, whether or not you followed the Ricky Holland case, this should really piss you off. Thanks to Lisa W. for the link.

Second, as Milo Johnson says, over at Jones Alley, http://jonesalley.blogspot.com/, how, five years after 9/11, and many losses of liberty and inconveniences of travel later, does a plane manage to run into a building in NYC? Are all these sacrifices as useless as they seem? Are the conspiracy advocates right after all, and it's all a set-up to enslave us to the Machine?

Speaking of which, the prez gave a very depressing new conference today, in which he side-stepped questions and generally tiptoed through the tulips. I thought the questions were pre-screened so as not to take Dubya by surprise. He talked for 45 minutes and said precisely nothing.

And then, my daughter, Vanessa, http://i-still-have-no-clue.blogspot.com/, has a bad case of the Pregnancy Blues, with a side order of terror.

And, to top it all off, Jasmine, http://caringbridge.org/cb/inputSiteName.do?method=search&siteName=jasminesubia, had a bad day.

Just shoot me.

  1. Sorry, I opted out on the first link, Ronni. What you have written is disturbing enough.

Okay I have to email you a story. When you read it you will realise why I don't want to put it here.

Or, baited breathe, if you prefer.

  3. Now, why in the world would you put a link like that up? I don't understand how anyone could make a child suffer like that! I hope they nail that bitch to a pole!

  4. I put the link up because I have friends who followed that case. And because I want people to be outraged by it.
