The Water Tower

There wasn't anywhere to stand to get a close picture of the whole tower, without risking getting run over. This is what the City of Round Rock spends money on preserving. The pic of the base shows part of the little park, with lantana plantings and stone paths and a semi-circular stone bench.

Years ago, somebody paid to have Christmas lights strung up there, but now all the bulbs have burned out, and nobody has ever, EVER climbed up there to change them. Not that I blame them, mind you...I just think it was a silly idea in the first place.

While they are so busy preserving this ugly piece of junk, one of our old fire trucks is sitting out in the yard of Lee's Auto Body. Why don't they park the fire truck here, and build a little carport thing to cover it? Let's remember something worth remembering!

  1. That made me laugh. It is all about priorities.
