Furrusteration!

I have been totally frustrated at being blogless for the past few days.

I started blogging to have something to do besides smoke, and to express my feelings while quitting smoking. Who knew I was replacing one addiction with another?

I love writing here. I love doing the picture essays, whether about plays at Sam Bass Theater, or my cats, or the city of Round Rock. I have several creative outlets in my life, but this one is very special to me.

"People" have always told me I should write, but it was always too tedious. I had many penpals when I was a kid, in Japan, India and France, and I wrote copious letters. By hand.

Eventually, I graduated to a manual typewriter, and that was somewhat easier. Electric ones scared me.

I always preferred treadle sewing machines, too.

A computer keyboard is so light and easy to use, and there aren't all those moving parts chunking around as there are on a typewriter. And corrections are so easy.

I have got to get my computer running right. I can't come over here for hours every day!

Plus, I do my best blogging in the middle of the night, or early in the morning.

Even the most loving daughter can't be expected to put up with that! As it is, I'm afraid she's going to regret moving into an apartment that is only a mile or so from my house!

If I could afford to, I'd run out and get a "nerd" right now!
