Latino Graves

Anglos tend to park their dead with due ceremony, and then pay the maintenance fee to the cemetery and only visit rarely.
Latinos have a different cultural attitude to death. They bring holidays and family occasions to share with their dead. The graves are more like shrines. Silk flowers, miniature Christmas trees, Easter decorations, nativity scenes, beads, baubles, and more silk flowers abound. The flowers range from poinsettias that must have been there since Christmas, to silk roses placed since the rain the other day.

Customs vary, but the sense of loss is universal.
