I've done gone and used up my hissy fit for the entire show.
This is the biggest show I've ever costumed and I'm a little tiny bit stressed over it. Most of the cast is being very helpful. Some have brought costumes of their own, one has made me a spreadsheet, one has been sewing, and all have been extremely patient. But there are several trick costumes in the show that the actresses want yesterday, if not sooner. And where is Erin, who promised to sew some of the things that have to be built from scratch?
When I rule the world, actresses will not be allowed to have tattoos. I've been griping about costuming women with tattoos for about 15 years. If it's on her rear end, or other area normally covered by clothing, I don't mind. It's the ones on shoulders and ankles that drive me stark raving bonkers. It has to be covered with either clothing or makeup, and the former limits the costumes the actress can wear, and the latter is very time-consuming.
There are times (and this is one of them) when I sort of wish I hadn't quit smoking.
But I haven't quit drinking Glenfiddich!
Good blog. I like the whole concept. Very thought provoking. You should check mine out www.juddandjasonspeakout.com
ReplyDeleteWhat "concept?" I have no "concept!" I just rant and whinge, wax nostalgic, and get sentimental over cats.
