Grandson

Here's my handsome little dude! A bit tired, on his way home from the Renaissance Festival. He got home just in time for the audition for Grandma's show. Surprisingly, to his mother, he didn't display enough meanness to get cast as one of the Herdman Horde. But he did get cast. He's going to play "Hobie," one of the "church kids." Already, he thinks he doesn't have enough lines. I told Chandra to point out to him that the play is full of kids who don't have a whole lot of lines. The only one who has a huge amount to say is Beth, the narrator.
Aidan does have one of the funniest lines in the show, though. Mrs Bradley is having her dress rehearsal for the pageant, but nobody has a costume. They all have assorted excuses, and Hobie says, "I haven't got any costume. I was never a shepherd before." Charlie says, "You have to wear your father's bathrobe. That's what I have to do." Hobie comes back with, "He hasn't got a bathrobe." Charlie asks, "What does he hang around the house in?" and Hobie answers, "His underwear." At the audition, Aidan said "Underoos" instead, and he's so funny when he says it, I decided to keep it.
