...Or just pure laziness? You decide.
The truth of the matter is that life has been somewhat boring of late, punctuated with occasional moments of gaiety. I will admit that one of my friends has been keeping me entertained with the amazing stuff he finds on the interwebs. It is all sorts of fun to watch "The Passion of the Christ" with snarky comments from Ben.
We got "The Wizard of Oz" out on time. I wasn't there for the pickup, as I tend to slow things down. When there are dozens of actors picking up scores of costumes, there is no time to be chatty. As many of the actors are friends of mine that I don't get to see often, Ramona has taken to giving me the day off on pickup day. I can hardly wait until they post pictures at http://www.georgetownpalace.com/photoalbum.php. By the way, you can see a lot of shows costumed by A Cut Above in these pictures. It would probably be easier for me to tell you which ones we didn't costume..."Wait Until Dark," "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," "The Sunshine Boys," "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Little Shop of Horrors," and "Cats." "Cats" is the one for which they paid twice as much as they pay us, and for less than a quarter of the costumes. Awesome.
Celeste has dumped Mike, but he still wants a divorce. Not quite sure why that hasn't gone through already...Celeste's has. Seems she just exerted herself to get back at Mike, because he dumped her for Vanessa. How childish and depressing is that? Of course, the relationship between M and V was not good, or Celeste never would have happened, but it still seems childish in the extreme, and look at all the lives it messed up, permanently.
The good news is that I am now current with insurance and registration on Minni Miata...and got a really good deal as part of Vanessa's family plan. "Multi-car Discount," I think they call it. Cool! The bad news is that I'm broke again.
The biggest laugh I've had recently was when I bought a flowered thermal union suit at the Goodwill. I could barely try it on, I was laughing so hard. I look like a huge mound of mashed potatoes in it, but it is all sorts of funny.
I've been sort of depressed ever since Casey Anthony got off and Jason Young got a hung jury. Somebody needs to get convicted in a case I'm following, and SOON!
The tropical storm that looked as if it might bring us a little relief from the drought and 100+ temperatures passed us by. The heat is awful this year. Electric bills are through the roof, and there is serious talk of a power shortage, as well as water shortage. I knew last winter, when I was complaining about the cold, that the day would come, probably in August, when I would commence non-stop bitching about the heat. Welcome to August.
So that's me sorted. What's up with you?
celeste dumped mike?
ReplyDeletegee, i guess he now has time to help vanessa and the kids get their move completed.
