Thank you all! He's a beuaty. Nursed right away without any trouble, and hasn't really cried yet, though he has vocalized and is very active with assorted reflexes.
When I was expecting Vanessa, I had a dream in which a baby floated past my eyes and said, "Hi! My name is Michael." Naturally, I assumed my baby was a boy, and fully intended to call him "Michael." Imagine my surprise when she was born, and I had a "Vanessa," instead!
He picked (well, he didn't pick it, but still) the worst storm in 10 years to arrive in. Sort of blew in on the north wind, accompanied by sleet and such.
This is NOTHING compared with the weather others are getting, but it's enough to make me happy that mother, dad, and baby are holed up all snug at the hospital.
Ronni, he's absolutely beautiful! 13 pounds? Wow! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I read that too fast. EIGHT pounds is much more reasonable, LHAT!
ReplyDeleteHe's just perfect, Ronni!

ReplyDeleteI swear that same blue and pink striped blanket is used in every hospital on earth.
