Just how many times in one season can Turner Classic Movies show "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington?" I mean, I like it and all, but (dotz). For sheer schmaltz, it's hard to beat. Maybe by "Miracle on 34th Street," but I'm not sure.
It may be the quintessential early James Stewart, or "smokin'" Frank Capra, but persons can burn out on it, eventually.
I never should have mentioned out loud that I had never seen it. Obviously the Fates decided to take a hand.
"Well there, Little Lady, we'll see about that!"
Remind me not to tell that I haven't seen "It's a Wonderful Life, " OK?

It has been really popular this season. I wonder if Ted Turner (the Turner from Turner Classic Movies) thinks that it's time to hammer home American political idealism!
