Red

Addy, over the years, attracted a plethora of stray cats. This was the last. She called him "Red," and her other cats had equally imaginative names. I think, as she got older, names of cats got harder to remember, so she kept it simple. Red is a big lug. Addy always kept a thick towel handy for when Red wanted to be a lap cat, because he kneads. With claws.

We have buried two of Addy's cats since she died; Blackie and Chesty. Red is getting pretty old. He still has occasional playful moments, but is content mostly to sleep in the sun. It will be very say when he goes, as he's the last living connection to Addy's life.

  1. A beautiful picture, Ronni.

Now, that's the kind of life that would suit me down to the ground.

Not a care in the world!

  3. I had a busy weekend, Ronni. Took GS to see Garfield (it was really funny). Then took him out to get some new clothes, shoes and a cap.

His mother had an appointment. I wanted to take him on the "Waterbus" which cruises along the Clyde River, but, believe it or not, he wanted to go to Movies. Geez, kids!

How was your weekend? Busy, I bet!

  4. Ran the Box Office for the theater, trained a new volunteer to do so, supervised a party there yesterday, for which I forgot to take my camera. I'm depending on others to send me pics.

First blocking rehearsal for "Arsenic" is tonight.

  6. We blocked the first part of Act I last night. It's hilarious trying to do it on the stage which is still set for Merry Wives. They've got this little wall with a door in the middle of it.
