We got back from Michigan in time for me to get to an audition. Sam Bass Theater is doing "Arsenic and Old Lace" for our season opener. The auditions were Sunday and Monday, and I am very happy to announce that I will be playing Martha Brewster.
Martha and Abby Brewster are two of the sweetest little old ladies anyone could ever hope to meet, except that they are on a mission. They just hate the thought of lonely people with no families dying all alone with nobody to make sure they get a proper burial, so they come up with the idea to bump them off and do the funeral bit themselves.
The whole family is a tad bit dotty, as they have one nephew who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and another who is a psycho killer. Their other nephew, Mortimer, just thinks he's going nuts.
It's going to be all sorts of fun! Thanks, Sharon, for casting me!
Congratulations, Ronni!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to updates and pictures.
Congratulations! I will be there to see it!
ReplyDeleteRonni, I've always loved that movie! You'll be perfect!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I know it'll be a blast.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Ronni, I love, love, love that play and movie. I watch the movie a couple times a year, I'm a big Cary Grant fan and he is so great in it. It should be such a fun part for you to play, have a great time!
ReplyDeleteThank you all! I suspect it will be a lot of fun! I love playing characters who are slightly loopy, and this one is a murderer besides! WooHoo!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Ronni!
ReplyDeleteWith your busy lifestyle, working 2 jobs, taking care of your family of cats; a husband, daughters and grandchildren; please tell me, how you get time to practice your lines?
You absolutely amaze me!
I am so happy for you. Being the wonderful person you are, this is well deserved.
How I wish I could come over and watch the play. You rock, Ronni!
Cheers!
I beg your pardon! Not forgetting your son, of course.
ReplyDeleteIn all honesty, Mgt, most of them take care of themselves pretty well.
ReplyDeleteThe two-legged ones, anyway!
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting, Ronni! That's how it's supposed to be. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder!
They didn't start until I quit doing it for them. A lot of things don't get done, but what has to, does.
