In the immortal words of A. A. Milne,
Now We Are Six
When I was one I had just begun
When I was two, I was nearly new
When I was three I was almost me
When I was four I was not much more
When I was five I was barely alive
But now I am six, and clever as clever;
I think I'll stay six now forever and ever.
Now, that's just from memory, so I may not have it quite right, but I'm sure you get the general idea.
Here is a picture of our Beautiful and Elegant Lisa. This was taken yesterday, at her birthday party.
There were somewhere in the vicinity of 50 people in attendance at a party hosted by her in-laws. People came from as far away as Cleveland, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Texas, and California. There were people there that Lisa went to high school with, people she worked with back in the '80's, people she works with now, fellow bloggers, relatives, and other friends met on line at crime and adoption forums and carried over into real life. The age range spanned three generations.
There were phone calls from California, Idaho, New York City and Brazil.
Lisa, thank you for inviting Jim and me to a party that we shall never forget!
You have the ability to stay at your present age forever and ever!
You and Jim are welcome anytime, Ronni! Don't know how I would have managed without your help and my bad back.
ReplyDeleteWe plan on turning up in Texas someday so look out!
May I request that you post a picture of the Jesus Action figure because the whole idea is just so damn funny?
ReplyDeleteI'd say bring Bennie, but you will probably want to bring benadryl, instead. On second thought, we have a lifetime supply of that stuff, as Central Texas is the allergy capital of the world!
ReplyDeleteI will look forward to having you! Give me a week's notice so I can clear a path!
