Listen to this keyboard! It sounds so cool! Martin has this old keyboard from the 1980's that weighs 25 lbs and clicks along in a very friendly manner. You know you are typing on this! Lisa has the same one, so we are clicking away like mad, here. I'll put up a pic when I get them home. Of course, they don't have Kodak cameras, so they don't have the same camera software, so I have to wait till I get home to put up the pics.
Just hope I don't lose the picture card on the way home!
Mia is a charming child, very articulate and well-behaved. I've heard her fuss just twice since we've been here, and the second time was because Benny, the dog, knocked her over and she banged her head. She goes to bed without a fuss, eats pretty much whatever you give her, and is not particularly demanding.
I wish mine had been like that!
Benny the dog is this large reddish hairy beast with the most soulful brown eyes and a winning personality.
We are all excited about the party tomorrow, and I am looking forward to meeting Lisa's and Martin's friends, as well as seeing Loretta again and meeting Barbara and Peggy.
It's going to be partly a blogger convention and partly a Misfit convention, and partly just a wonderful party.
Martin's parents have beautiful Yorkshire accents to which I could listen for years and not burn out!
Martin has no trace of British accent, for the same reason I don't either. Coming here as a child, it was important to him to fit in.
See y'all later!
Ronni, you must be talking about those old IBM keyboards! I LOVED mine, and miss it so much! It finally stopped working for me. It was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGot it in one, Nadine!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty hard to get up and type on that baby without waking the whole house when I had insomnia.
ReplyDeleteOnce Jim lies down, that's it for the night!
ReplyDeleteYou lucky thing!
ReplyDeleteAll I have to do is blink, and Hubby's on full alert.
Actually you do still have a trace, Ronni. It's faint, but it's still there.
ReplyDeleteI guess I just don't notice it, Barbara.
ReplyDeleteWherever I go, I sound as if I'm from somewhere else!
I was watching an interview with Angela Lansbury last night, and heard the working class accent under her usual one. It's similar to the one she used in "Gaslight." Maybe Cockney, but assuredly south-east London.
