Ladies and Gentlemen, I have what is arguably the worst pair of pants in the world. Behold:
I'm not sure what order the pictures will be in when this gets published, but here are the salient points.
The pants are hot pink.
They are a size 2X.
They have drawstrings up the outside of the leg.
They have elastic up the inside of the leg.
On each hip there is a huge patch pocket. Right where a 2X sized woman really wants one!
The brand name is "Beware." That says it all, doesn't it?
Who wears this stuff? Obviously, this pair was not worn much before it found its way to Wonderful Bargains, one of my favourite thrift shops.
Thrift shopping is one of my favourite pastimes!
ReplyDeleteI bought a piano on Sunday, for £55. It arrives today.
When my Robyn was young, I always wanted to buy her a piano, but, being a single Mum, it was impossible.
The piano has all it's keys...it only needs tuning. A pal has given us the phone number of a guy who tunes pianos for £25.
Now, there's a bargain!
I vaguely remember mentioning peace and quiet, somewhere. LOL
Back in the day, I once got a full length sealskin coat for $5.
ReplyDeleteNot so much, any more.
Though, I have bought real gold and silver jewelery, and some incredible bits of Lenox china, and Wedgwood, etc.
I believe car boot sales are where you find the real bargains.
ReplyDeleteUsually, people clearing out the clutter from a deceased relative's house. Not realising they have anything of value, and selling them off for chump-change.
Of course, I wouldn't know value, if I tripped over it. LOL.
I love watching those Antique Road Shows, where people pick up things for 50 pence, which are worth hundreds.
People have "estate sales" here, and organizing them has become an industry all its own. A person can actually make a living selling off the detritus of other people's lives.
ReplyDeleteThrift shops are the best, though I have got some very good things at estate sales.
