It's too early for Christmas Carols! Every year, it begins earlier and earlier. I can choose to stay out of the stores, for the most part, but it is more difficult to turn off the TV.
The omnipresence of Christmas carols does not make me want to rush out and buy, buy, buy. It makes me want to hurl.
...And every time I see that commercial with the perky voices and Pepsodent smiles, it just reminds me that I will never EVER buy anything from Overstock.com, no matter how good the deals are and how low the prices get and how long I live.
Just sayin'.
And I thought it was just me!
ReplyDeleteI did notice that all the holidays seem to be going up in the stores sooner then they used to! actually it's kind of annoying to me.
It just makes things more commercial, you know? where is the "feeling"?
I wont be buying from OS.com either, this x-mas will be a hard one for us, but you know Ronni,I am just happy to have a roof over my head, food in my tummy,my friends and my family..that's all that really matters to me, I can do without all the presents..but I do admit I have a fondness for at least a well decorated x-mass tree.
But I think you are right,it is way too early..
AMEN! Should NOT start until at least after Thanksgiving. Ruins it for me as well. By the time Christmas gets here I am all like thank god its OVER.
ReplyDeleteConsider living with a first year saxaphone player who has a Christmas concert coming up.
ReplyDeleteHey. I lived with a first year cello player, and then a first year clarinet player.
ReplyDeleteWhen is the concert?
