This is Ridiculous!

I have zits. Tomorrow, I'll be sixty, and I have zits.

I've got used to my face. I deserve all the wrinkles--raising three kids and spending a lot of time in the sun, without sunglasses...well, the results are not pretty. I have even grown accustomed to the fact that my eyebrows seem to interpret a decrease in estrogen as an open invitation to spread out all over my face.

I have learned to cope with the spare hairs that have to be tweezed (twoze?) (twizzen?) from my chin, and the incipient mustache.

But, still.

I am resigned to the conditions of age; why do I have to put up with zits as well?

Piffle.

  1. Believe me, I hear you. All the same things apply to me. Hard not to feel ugly. I've had acne all my life, explosively until I was at least 35.

  2. Please don't tell me that there will also be wild eyebrow hairs in my future. I'm still dealing with the recent discovery of the wild chin hairs that seem to appear every time I use the car mirror. Gasp - there are also two black ones!! I'm coming up on 40 this year and am starting to see a faint mustache. I still battle the zit factor but would've expected those to pass by age 60! The gray hairs are taking over but I'm fighting them til the bitter end! Am I missing anything?? You're so funny, Ronni!
