As my friend Dorothy says, "I've gone till I cain't go." We worked Monday this week, and it was my birthday, besides. We worked two extra hours today, and will go in two hours early tomorrow. The show is to be picked up at 2:00, and we will be ready.
Of course, I do get to take off early tomorrow for Aidan's birthday party, but that's not all that restful. He's 10, and it's at a pool. Nuff sed. I still have prezzies to wrap.
We will be working this coming Monday, as well, because there is another show going out on Tuesday.
The Summer Solstice is tonight at 11:59 PM. I'm sick of summer already, and it hasn't really started yet. It has been around 100° F almost every day this week.
Brendan is sitting here, cussing at his favourite baseball team. They are tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 14th inning. Very boring baseball, IMO.
Brendan had to go to a funeral this morning. His uncle Daryl passed away on Sunday, from his second bout with pancreatic cancer. I went to the visitation last night, knowing there was no way I could go this morning. Poor boy has had enough of death for this year.
I guess that's enough grumbling for now. If I think of anything else, I'll be back.
Oh, yeah. My back is killing me, and there is a mosquito munching my ankles, and the red wasps have moved back into the Oldsmobile.
The Entwistle trial is making me physically ill.
Don't worry...I'll be a ray of sunshine again tomorrow.
My condolences to you and Brendan,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your feeling blue tonight.
