Dress Rehearsal was a HOOT!
Face it, folks, "The Oldest Profession" is not exactly a kid-friendly show. We were a bit shocked to hear children's voices in the audience before we started. BJ identified Aidan's voice, and Chandra's, so that was all right--Aidan is almost 10, and has seen every show I've done since he was born, pretty much. So, it wasn't too much of a shock to see Aidan in the front row. However, Ivy was with him, and two other kids around her age (middle school), who I have never seen in my life! Plus, there was this toddler talking up under the rafters. Putting two and two together, I decided that Chandra's friend Mandie must be there, with her two, Ivy and Devlin (the toddler). Between them, they had brought two other kids. I hope their parents didn't object!
However, I KNOW Aidan knows better than to be running in and out! And, of course, as he was doing that, all the other older kids did the same. It was all I could do to stay on the stage and not come down and rip his arm off and beat him to death with the bloody stump!
Any attempt made by the moms to put a stop to this behaviour would have only made matters worse, and I sure did not want them to leave, so we all sucked it up and went on.
So now Michael is all reassured and stuff, saying, "If you can make it through that, you can make it through anything!"
I think he's right.
We should have Chandra and Mandie bring a herd of hooligans to every Final Dress!
I'm Sorry everything was crazy, I know how that can be haveign a stressful dress rehearsal. Kyle and I are coming next weekend!!! loves to you!!!
