This is right across the street from the one in the previous entry. You can see another being framed up in the background on the left edge of the picture.. This whole subdivision ("Paloma Lake", or some such fanciful name) covers hundreds of acres of what used to be maize or cotton land. It is surrounded with red rock walls.
I think I'd rather look for a nice home that's been around for awhile. The new ones seem to lack quality of workmanship and character. I don't want to have to use a map to navigate my way through the place, either. I don't particularly need an Olympic size pool, or servant's quarters. Definitely count me out if there's any kind of Homeowner's ASSociation. If I want Flamingos on my front lawn, by golly I'm having 'em!
ReplyDeleteYour chicks have left the nest...you are a sensible person, without pretension.
ReplyDeleteI can see having a house with lots of bedrooms. It's the multiple eating and living areas I object to.
I guess, if you hold dinner parties, you need a formal dining room, but my lifestyle doesn't lend itself to that, so why pay more to pretend it does?
