Jim's Birthday

In any other year, I would have spent the weekend (or some of it) at a bookstore, or at the Antique Mall, and the past week would have entailed anxiously watching for the UPS guy bringing eBay treasures.

I usually bought books for Jim, or vintage telephones, or CDs...

God, I miss him!

  4. Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

  5. I'm so sorry, Ronni. Just one of many to come, I suppose.

Nessa, that is a beautiful poem.

  6. Ronni (Vero), I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. I don't know the complete story, but was shocked to read words indicating that he is gone.
I am Jeannie (formerly of Misfits and I met you at a gathering of we gals about 3 years ago in Austin)and it has been a LONG time since I've checked in here (or Lorettas). Sigh. I am so sorry for your loss. He is with you in Spirit, I do know.
    Hugs,

    Jeannie

If you click on the tag at the foot of the post that says "Jim's death," you will get all the posts dealing with what happened and my struggle with it.

He is most definitely here in Spirit!
